“Looking for a way to relive your childhood? You can, right here, with the splat ‘em game!”
At least what’s the developers of this game say. Now I don’t recall my childhood very well (and I definitely wouldn’t want to relive it)… but I’m pretty sure jumping in mud in order to splash pedestrians was never my idea of fun. And it’s kind of annoying when people take specific details from their own childhood and apply them to the entire universe.
I mean how would you feel if I made a game saying: “Looking for a way to relive 3rd grade? You can, right here, with the Buy a six-pack and go to a strip club game!”

A beautiful and clever game whose goal is to let young girls know what their purpose in life really is.
Objective: Being a beautiful housewife (kind of obvious from the title…)
Location: Kitchen or bedroom (hope you weren’t expecting a library or a lecture in advanced differential equations)
Result: Women’s Rights Movement… back to the drawing board.
Afterthoughts: I’m really curios if someone will ever develop a “How to accessorize for a feminist protest against the evils of a male-dominated society” dress-up game.

I don’t understand how a game in which you’re supposed to make a never-ending sandwich (that can apparently float in the air) can be fun for anyone on this planet regardless of their age. I mean if I had a kid and he was playing this game I’d just tell him that he should stop fooling around, go to the fridge and just make a real sandwich.
But that’s just me. Maybe in some other parts of the world people enjoy these kind of virtual activities. For instance kids from some tribes in Ethiopia, who have neither fridges nor food, could find this game quite entertaining. But, on the other hand, showing this game to Ethiopian children would be a cruel and sadistic thing to do. Probably just as cruel as showing a porn magazine to a group of monks.
